ANNUAL Implementation PLAN 2025 Manaakitia t tou tamariki mokopuna ko te m tauranga te ara tika Nurturing the mana and education of all Our Vision Statement captures our view that every child has a pathway to travel and that success is achieved when they have others travelling that pathway with them. Not all pathways will be the same but they will all have elements of good practice that need to be present for success to be achievable. Our mission is to find what works on each pathway and to ensure we provide it for each and every child in our community. Our Collective K hui Ako Values The Hakatere K hui Ako values relationships and fosters connections between kura, ECEs and the wider community. The connections and relationships will enable the sharing of ideas and resources, while building the capacity and capability of the wider group for the common good of improving teaching and learning practice for all akonga.
ACHIEVEMENT CHALLENGE 1: CULTURAL CAPABILITY SUPPORTING KURA AND ECE TO MEET THE LEARNING NEEDS OF ALL KONGA AND THEIR WH NAU Strategic goal : To provide opportunities for students to learn and connect through M tauranga M ori to sustain M ori culture, reo and identity while building relationships Key people and Resources How we will achieve our Actions Strategic Actions Timeframes Term 1 - Meet and greet as well as discussions around what could be gained from this group. Term 2-4 - Continue regular meetings Have a keen and robust Kia Kaha Ake R p who are advocates within the stream of work within their schools. Meet regularly with these keen teachers and discuss what needs are wanted. HALs and Renae List Greta Hampton and Tiipene Phillips. The Ashburton College Student Cultural Lead. Throughout 2025 Careers Expo Term 4 Elevating M ori as learners and leaders. (Whanau Whakatipu) Establish this group of students in collaboration with Ashburton College. Work collaboratively with the community to prepare for and celebrate Matariki. To work with HALs and the Kia Kaha Ake Ropu. Keen Kaiako within our Kahui Ako Schools. Throughout 2025
ACHIEVEMENT CHALLENGE 2: HAUORA PROVIDING SUPPORT FOR KURA, ECE AND WH NAU TO IMPROVE WELLBEING OUTCOMES FOR KONGA Strategic goal :To improve the social and emotional wellbeing of our tamariki through improved attendance across the K hui Ako Key people and Resources How we will achieve our Actions Strategic Actions Timeframes Instagram used to encourage good attendance. Feature in the Courier on our transport to school initiative. Podcast - inter school competition Posters and flyers Share MOE attendance videos with schools Local and national campaign pushing the impact of what a few days away means over a school career; ASL and LP Attendance service personnel The campaign will run for the 2025 year. Kahui ak wide approach to publishing and sharing regular attendance data Steering group having discussions about what is effective for the attendance in their school Steering group Term 2 With the support of the Attendance service , trial a bus service for term 2. Funding application - Regional response fund Attendance service - Jill Hubert Term 2 trial Bus service initiative Cath to apply for RRF Year 9 konga share advice to Year 8 around the benefit of regular attendance. This could be face-to-face or through video presentations. Establish peer supports across kura Heena and Cath Term 3
ACHIEVEMENT CHALLENGE 3: COHERENCE COLLABORATING TO BUILD A SHARED UNDERSTANDING TO IMPROVE STUDENT OUTCOMES Strategic goal : To grow pedagogy and skills to create and sustain change for our identified at risk learners. Key people and Resources How we will achieve our Actions Strategic Actions Timeframes For schools to be supported to implement their own action plan ( Relationships First- Guiding coalitions ) Work with Cognition to support guiding coalitions in each Relationships First school Term 2- Guiding coalitions established and supported Cognition. To support the training and practice of impact coaching in schools Term 1/2 impact coaches trained.Impact coaching to continue for the rest of the year. Training dates organised for Term 2,3 & 4 for Impact coaches Cognition. Impact coaches Voices Interviews conducted at the end of the year To evaluate the impact of year 1- Relationships First ASL s lead principal Term 4
ACHIEVEMENT CHALLENGE 3: COHERENCE COLLABORATING TO BUILD A SHARED UNDERSTANDING TO IMPROVE STUDENT OUTCOMES Strategic goal : To provide learning opportunities for ECE in neurodiversity, oral language and transition to school Key people and Resources How we will achieve our Actions Timeframes Strategic Actions Connecting with professionals from a range of areas to share their knowledge Clear advertising of PD sessions - through email and in person Feedback gained at the end of each session to evaluate impact Professional development opportunities for ECE focused on neurodiversity and oral language Speakers to lead the professional development sessions ECE/Kindy teachers Two professional development opportunities per term - Throughout 2025 Create meeting times that are accessible to as many Managers and Head teachers as possible Establish a meeting agenda and share with participants two weeks prior to the meeting Share most recent Steering Group matters during Managers Group Establish ECE Managers group to determine the professional development needs of the ECE/Kindy community ECE Managers, Kindy Head Teachers, Kindy Area Manager Twice per term - Throughout 2025 Connect New Entrant teachers with the presenting ECE centre to share their knowledge as part of the presentation Create a presentation that introduces the key skills required for school readiness to parents Support ECE teachers in presenting parent education meetings about school readiness ECE Centres, parents connected to the centre hosting, New Entrant Teachers Term 1 (and potentially future dates throughout 2025)

ACHIEVEMENT CHALLENGE 3: COHERENCE COLLABORATING TO BUILD A SHARED UNDERSTANDING TO IMPROVE STUDENT OUTCOMES Strategic goal : To equip beginning teachers with the tools and skills essential for the start of their careers, while collaborating with them to identify relevant topics and needs. Key people and Resources How we will achieve our Actions Timeframes Strategic Actions Term 1 - Meeting PCT & Mentor Teachers. Twice termly workshops. Term 2-4 - Continue Workshops whilst discussing with BTs on what will be most beneficial. Experienced teachers and specialist teachers who can provide BTs with skills, tools and experiences. Build a community of BT learners, offering regular PD sessions. Experienced teachers, relevant speakers for their PD sessions. To ensure that BTs receive consistent and supportive guidance from their mentor teachers. Term 1 - Meeting and discussing induction programmes and deciding the best way forward throughout Term 2-4 Mentor teachers and other interested schools in developing their induction programmes. Working alongside Mentor Teachers and helping to develop Induction programmes for the BTs

Key people and Resources How we will achieve our Actions Timeframes Strategic Actions Establish opportunities for teachers to observe teaching practice at different year levels Liz,, School principals, teachers willing for observations. Seek supporting schools and keen teachers, Liaise with Greta at College and set dates and times Terms 1-3 2025. Seeking continued support from Sport Canterbury. Creating a range of opportunities Seeking financial support Organise and hold COSARS (connecting small and rural schools) Terms 1-4 2025 Liz, Alice Breading, Greta Hampton Careers expo for year 7 and 8 students Attitude programme yr 7&8??
