WISEdata Ed WISEdata Ed- -Fi API Fi API You need security credentials (Username/Password) to access the WISE applications you use. Vendors need API credentials (Key/Secret) to pass data to the WISEdata Portal through the Ed-Fi API. The LEA adds a vendor subscription to create the API credentials (Key/Secret) needed for sending data to WISEdata Portal. These credentials are managed in the Ed-Fi Credential Application, then shared with the vendor via email. Vendors also have access to the Ed-Fi Credential Application and can view the LEA's API credentials (Key/Secret). Vendor Application WISEdata, WISEid, Etc.
Ed Ed- -Fi Credential Fi Credential Ed-Fi Credential Application is used for creating and managing subscriptions.
Ed Ed- -Fi Credential Initial Access Fi Credential Initial Access Prior to logging in, read and review the Agreement to Protect Privacy. Protecting student privacy is required by law and is the highest priority of the Department of Public Instruction. Resources regarding protecting student privacy in Wisconsin are provided at http://dpi.wi.gov/

In the New Subscription window, fill out the below fields then click Save Changes Vendor Name (Select from the drop-down list) Resource Access(Select Write on all student data .) 3. Click Save Changes

Your API credentials (Key/Secret) should be kept private and should not be shared. NOTE: Secret codes are stored in a hashed format once used.
What to do with the WISEdata API Key What to do with the WISEdata API Key When you have a new or edited subscription, the secret is changed. Data will no longer be transmitted through the WISE data API until your application is updated. Contact your vendor to determine if key/secret is entered by vendor or the school. Never email your key and secret!
