  1. My Digital Footprint

  2. What did I find when I researched myself When I googled myself, not a lot showed up for me. It was just a few links that showed up. Although, most of the links led to me or I should say, my Social Media accounts. The very first one was a link to my Instagram account. When I clicked on it, it showed what I had posted. I was very confused at first because all my Social Media accounts are private. The next link led to my Facebook account. When I pressed on the link, it took me to my mom s account and I had no idea why. Lastly, there was a link to my Pinterest account. It showed what I had pinned (saved) for my Tom Holland and my Shawn Mendes folder.

  3. Question A) My digital footprint can affect my digital brand by what people see. I post on my Social Media accounts once in a while, mostly on Instagram, but I have to be careful of what I post because it can ruin my reputation in getting a job. It s very important to be aware of what you re posting on your Social Media accounts because someone can find out so many different things about you through one image.

  4. Question B) You can make your account private. Setting your account private is very useful because the only people who can view your profile are the one s you allow. Keeping your accounts private is very safe because when someone sends someone your posts, they won t see it unless they follow you. To keep your digital footprint safe, you have to be careful of what you post or send to people. Sending /posting inappropriate things to people can often lead to bullying, then to suicide. Lastly, delete old accounts. Deactivate old accounts so people doesn t hack them. If someone hacks into your accounts, they can find out your phone number, email, your friends and your family. I chose these strategies because they work very well. I have used these strategies before and nothing has ever happened to me. I think it s very important for us teenagers to be conscious.

  5. Question C) Digital Permanence is stored data online that can last for a very long time. I can explain Digital Permanence to other people by telling them that this presentation will still exist when I look back at it when I am older. We should be very aware of this because little things can make a big difference in life.
