  2. Operations Side & Teaching & Learning Side Focus Groups Input from traditional means Virtual Parent Forum Virtual Teacher Forums Collaboration with fellow Superintendents State & Federal Guidelines (State Epidemiologist, CDC, etc.) PROCESS

  3. Three NHDOE PD days at beginning of the year School begins on September 9th 6-foot distancing All adults and students wear masks/face coverings PREVIOUSLY APPROVED

  4. SPECIALIZED POPULATIONS Pre-School Students with IEP s requiring Self-contained Services High-need English Language Learners Career & Technical Education (CTE)

  5. Remote is very difficult with this age group Play-based curriculum Procedures of School Working with peers Foundations for Literacy for Life EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION K-1

  6. Two-full days in-person each week A-K: Monday & Tuesday L-Z: Thursday & Friday Focus on literacy Two days of Remote Learning Home Learning A-K: Thursday & Friday L-Z: Monday & Tuesday Play-based activities Literacy activities with parents KINDERGARTEN & 1stGRADE One day for Interventions as needed All: Wednesdays Remote & In-person

GRADES 2-12 All begin in Remote Learning on September 9, 2020 Teachers work from Classrooms where Practicable Schools set up Days/Times for Students to Pick up Materials Schools set up Days/Times for Students & Parents to Meet Teachers in Person or Virtually Guidance Counselors prioritize seniors who are most at-risk of not graduating set up in-person or virtual appointments to help students develop graduation plan of action Expectations for face-to-face interaction time each week

  8. VIRITUAL EVENTS 5thGrade Orientation @ Parkside 6thGrade Orientation @Southside, McLaughlin, Hillside Freshmen Orientation @All High Schools Parent Open Houses

  9. TRANSITION TO BLENDED MODEL Review status EVERY THREE WEEKS first check on September 25th Announce by September 28thif Blended Model begins October 5th

BLENDED MODEL A-K: In-person on Monday & Tuesday Remote Thursday & Friday L-Z: In-person on Thursday & Friday Remote on Monday & Tuesday All: Wednesdays both in-person & virtual small group instruction, tutoring, coaching, re-takes/re-do s, performing arts small groups, independent work completion and catch- up Teachers: Wednesday afternoon set aside for department/grade-level collaboration, planning, learning data review, etc.

  11. PARENT CHOICE Blended and remote options can be in place at the same time Parents have choice of the learning model need to stay with model for at least one quarter/trimester

  12. WHAT MOTIONS ARE NEEDED FROM THE BOARD? Do we begin school fully remote for grades 2-12, and then re-evaluate on September 25th, and then transition to blended model and remote model by October 5th, or do we stay remote for the entire secondary 1stquarter? Do we allow specialized populations (Pre-K, CTE, ELL, IEP) to have in-person learning up to four days per week? Do we have K and 1 meet in-person following the blended model beginning on the first day of school? Do we require all teachers who teach remotely to do so from their classrooms to the extent that it is practicable?
