  10. Changes to National Championship Series Continuation From Last Year No requirement, for all age groups, to have played in a US Youth sponsored league to be eligible for State Cup competition. The only requirement is that the team is registered with MSYSA/US Youth. The league roster is no longer used to begin the State Cup roster process. The state cup roster is the beginning of the competition and continuity is now 50% from the state cup roster to the regional and national championship (exception: determining MSYSA seeding) The five player transfer rule has been eliminated since the league roster is no longer used for the competition. The 18u and 19u age groups have been combined for the East Regional Tournament For the regional and national championship, a team may add a maximum of 2 players from another club whose team has been eliminated from the NCS and is not advancing through National Conference qualifier or National League Pro. There is no change to the addition of adding club pass players as long as continuity is met (50%) and the team is not advancing

  11. MSYSA State Cup Rule Changes A team that forfeits a quarter-final round robin match cannot advance to the semi-final round Due to the fact that the East Region has combined the 18u and 19u age groups one of the following scenarios will occur (18u Boys only): - if Maryland gets a wild card bid in the 19u age group both the 18u and 19u state champion will advance to the regional tournament - if Maryland does not get a wild card bid in the 19u age group thn the 18u and 19u state champions will play each other for that slot, state championship on May 31stand advancement to regionals match on June 1st
