Where would you place this sentence? I have eaten a meal. What do you notice about it? It is in the past. It is called the Present Perfect tense.
Past and Present Simple Past Present Perfect I saw a film. I listened music. I drove a car. I ate a meal. I kept warm I talked I swam I have watched a film. I have listened to music. I have driven a car. I have eaten a meal. She has walked. He has made the coffee. Where would these sentences be placed? I kept warm. I swam. She has walked He has made the coffee I talked.
