  2. Objectives: students will be able to Understand how to use Access World News for research Narrow down a problem in a specific location (town, city, or region)

  3. Brainstorm, Narrow Down Topic Research, Read Articles Research, Read Articles Brainstorm, Narrow Down Topic Brainstorm, Narrow Down Topic Research, Read Articles

  4. 6 Research Questions Hacking into Digital Wallets When? Who? Why? Where? How? What?

  5. Who, what, where, when, why, how? Use both broad research and focused research together to answer these questions. Broad Research: defining the general problem and possible solutions (CQ Researcher, Opposing Viewpoints, Gale Reference Library, Google Search) Researching a Focused Location (City/ Town/ Region): who faces the problem? for how long? what details are relevant here? (Access World News, Newsbank, Google News).

  6. Tutorial on Access World News Go to sites.psu.edu/ESLJournals and there you will find the links. You can also just go to Try These First at libraries.psu.edu. Then click on the link for Access World News (News Bank)

  7. Research Activity Consult the worksheet available on Angel.

  8. Peer Review of Todays Worksheet Find a partner and discuss these questions: Does your partner s worksheet have 5-7 APA citations? Do you think their problem is narrow enough? Why or why not? What recommendations do you have for him/her?
