WHAT IS A PITCH? A pitch presentation is a way to present your ideas to a possible customer, investor or sponsor. It outlines what your idea is, how it will work, why it is of value, who it is for, when it will be used and where/how it will be distributed. It sells your idea! It tells your audience why they should support it/invest in it/use it. Pitching | 2
TYPES OF PITCH Elevator Pitch A short, 60 second pitch of your idea summed up in one or two sentences, e.g. It is Minecraft meets Zoom for the classroom. Pecha Kucha 20 x 20 A mode of presentation where you have 20 slides and speak on each slide for 20 seconds. Problem-Solution A structure of presentation in which you start with the problem you are addressing and then outline the possible solutions. Pitching | 3
WHAT TO INCLUDE IN YOUR PITCH A description of what your app is and what it does A brief overview of the problem related to the sustainable development goal you have chosen A description of how your app addresses your SDG User profiles/personas/audience Who is the app for? How do they use it? The core features, look and feel of your app, explained through your paper prototype Pitching | 4
