Goals and Objectives Increase in geographic access to MAT Increase in the number of providers trained to deliver MAT Increase the number of patients being treated per physician Decrease an unmet need for addiction treatment Increased self-efficacy of clinic-based providers for addiction treatment 2

Spring 2021 Data Collection Data Collection Tool: Patients included those treated between 9/20/2019 and 4/30/2021 Patient counts were cumulative and broken down by prescription Respondents: 30 of the 40 Physician Organizations submitted data 5 Physician Organizations who did not previously submit for Fall 2020, submitted for Spring 2021 3

  4. 2021 Medication Assisted Treatment Outcomes Data reflects three collection periods of the current PGIP MAT initiative (Apr/Oct 2020 and Apr 2021). 39 new ED physicians initiating MAT due to targeted ED efforts with Michigan OPEN and MEDIC CQI 219 new PCMH PCPs are treating patients 90 non-PCMH physicians are offering treatment (26 PCPs and 64 specialists) 147 new PCMH practices are delivering treatment 58 counties now have PCPs delivering treatment; 20 of those counties had zero providers before initiative 26 POs reported having at least one new practice beginning to provide treatment 178 PCPs earned VBR for providing treatment 18 specialists earned VBR for providing treatment 78% increase of MAT providers across the state (From 317 to 717) Updated specialists VBR count will be available after Oct 2021. 4
