Image result for matrix essex and herts Maths Hub Update New Essex Hub will be based in St Thomas More s Catholic Primary School, Colchester and will be called VENN ESSEX. MATRIX will relaunch as MATRIX HERTS. There will be an official launch event for the new hub (date to be confirmed) and Essex and Herts LLME will split off for 2020/21.

Image result for matrix essex and herts PISA tests UK rises in International School Rankings The UK has made "positive" progress in international school rankings, based on tests taken by 15-year-olds in 79 countries and regions. The Pisa tests, run by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, show the UK rising in Reading, Maths and Science. In Mathematics, the UK is 18th up from 27th. The UK's maths results represent a particular improvement on three years ago, according to an analysis by the National Foundation for Educational Research (NFER). https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/education-50563833
Image result for matrix essex and herts Teaching School HubS Announced New TS Hubs in Essex (TEST AND LEARN PHASE 2019/20) East of England and North East London: Harris Academy (Chafford Hundred) and Harris Federation East of England and North East London: Saffron Walden County High School and Saffron Academy Trust
Image result for matrix essex and herts Chartered College of Teaching The Chartered College of Teaching has announced 11 successful providers which will support the delivery of its Chartered Teacher Programme (CTeach). The organisations, based across England and one internationally, will play an important role in supporting teachers to achieve Chartered Teacher Status with the launch of the next cohort in April. Applications were open to a range of different providers including schools, multi-academy trusts, teaching schools and higher education institutions. As part of the pilot approach, all providers will ensure that teachers taking part are supported by excellent training opportunities and highly-skilled mentors. The Chartered College of Teaching will set the programme assessment and oversee all assessment processes. The nearest providers and their partner organisations are: Beaumont School, St Albans Sir John Lawes School, Harpenden
