  3. Accomplishments to Date Convened January 2023, held 13 meetings Reviewed current trash sticker program and contract with E.L. Harvey Discussed pros and cons of present system and known alternatives (carts/barrels, private haulers, etc.) Representatives attended Mass DEP Pay-As-You-Throw (PAYT) webinars Compiled list of other town solid waste and recycling program details Developed and launched a survey on trash and recycling preferences for all town residents 10/3/2023 3

SW&R Public Survey Survey goals: Understand resident solid waste and recycling generation and preferences regarding service Communicate current financial and logistical challenges to residents Survey contains 7 multi-part, multiple-choice questions and comment box along with request for demographics information 737 responses as of 10/3 (up to 17% of households) Including hundreds of comments Survey will remain open through early November 10/3/2023 5

Preliminary Survey Results 94% using town service Basic functions of program work for about 70% Convenient, easy to use, fair, affordable 71% said that the current program meets their needs 67% stated that program is affordable 32% believed that user fees collected should cover all program costs 10/3/2023 6
