Technical Complementary Courses Technical Complementary Courses You choose courses that most interest you, from a given list. The list is different for each program. EE: Choose 3 courses CE: Choose 3 courses SE: Choose 2 courses 13
Accreditation Accreditation All our programs have been accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB). This will make it straightforward for you to become registered as a Professional Engineer after graduation. The CEAB rules impose constraints. We can allow departures from the published programs only in exceptional circumstances. 14
Honours Electrical Engineering Honours Electrical Engineering Entry is at start of 3rd semester (5th if you are doing U0) Entry is competitive, based on cumulative GPA at that point Minimum of 14 credits in each semester Only about 25 students a year accepted 15

Credits Credits 1 credit = 3 hours work per week for 1 semester e.g. 5-credit course (3-4-8): 3 lecture hours per week 4 lab hours per week 8 homework/self-study hours per week 15 hours per week total (5 x 3) 17
Workload Workload Most courses are 3 credits, but they range from 1 credit to 5 credits. Normally take 14 to 18 credits per term (42 to 54 hours per week, for average student). Below 12 credits, you are considered part-time. 18
