NOTICE OF LIABILITY The public official who finds out that a crime has been committed in the name of the investigation and prosecution on behalf of the public, neglecting to notify the competent authorities and delaying this issue, shall be sentenced to imprisonment from six months to two years. A person who does not report a crime to the competent authorities is sentenced to imprisonment for up to one year. In the case of a child who has not completed the age of fifteen, the person who is physically or mentally disabled or is unable to defend himself due to his pregnancy, the penalty according to the above paragraphs shall be increased by half.. In the event that the offense is committed by the person who performs the judicial police, the penalty to be imposed in accordance with the above paragraph shall be increased by half. Laws on the prevention of sexual abuse in our country the provisions of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child are applied. Our country has signed the European Convention on the Use of Children's Rights on 18.01.2001 with 4620 Law.
Our country is in the prevention of sexual exploitation and UNICEF Turkey General Directorate of Police for joint efforts to protect children in our country continues to cooperate with the executive council together so far in 1996. Our country uses World Health Organization standards in prevention and treatment of sexual abuse.

5395 CHILD PROTECTION LAW OBJECTIVE Objective: The purpose of this Law is to regulate the principles and procedures for the protection of children and their rights and for the protection of their children.
5395 CHILD PROTECTION LAW SCOPE Scope: This Law covers the measures to be taken regarding the children in need of protection and the procedures and principles of the security measures to be applied to the children who are involved in the crime and the provisions concerning the establishment, duties and powers of the juvenile courts.
5395 CHILD PROTECTION LAW DEFINITIONS In the implementation of this Law; a) Child: Even if he / she is an adult at an early age, the person who is not 18 years of age; In this context, 1. Children in need of protection: Physical, mental, moral, social and emotional development and personal safety in danger, neglected or abused child,

5395 CHILD PROTECTION LAW MEASURES Protective and supportive measures: Protective and supportive measures are measures to be taken in the areas of counseling, education, care, health and housing to ensure that the child is primarily protected in his or her family environment. Of them; a)Counseling, to raise children to those responsible for child care; to guide children in their education and development problems,
5395 CHILD PROTECTION LAW MEASURES b) The education measure shall be provided for the continuation of the child to an educational institution as day or boarding; to attend a vocational or art acquisition course for the purpose of gaining a job and profession, or to be placed at a professional or public or private sector establishment.
5395 CHILD PROTECTION LAW MEASURES c) the care measure shall ensure that the child is able to benefit from the official or special care home or protective family services if the person responsible for the care of the child cannot fulfill his duty for any reason, d) The health measure shall provide for the temporary and permanent medical care and rehabilitation necessary for the protection and treatment of the child's physical and mental health, and for the treatment of those who use addictive substances.
5395 CHILD PROTECTION LAW AUTHORITY IN MEASURES Protective and supportive measures for children in need of protection are taken by the child judge in the place where the child, his / her parent, his / her guardian or his / her people live in the interests of the child. The implementation of the measures of the measure shall be examined at the latest by the judge or the court, which takes the quarterly periods.
