Reminders: Lab meets every week What to do if you can t attend lab and you have an excused absence: Arrange with your team to work with them via Zoom Ask your Lab TA if you can make up the lab during another lab session if joining your team via Zoom is not possible. If you can t do either of these, you will have to complete the lab on your own.

  3. Lab 2: Measuring with and IOLab Learning Goals: 1.Gain proficiency in the use of the IOLab hardware and software. 2.Design an experiment to measure something. 3.Collect and present data in a logical manner.

  4. Lab 2: Measuring with and IOLab Sequence of today s lab period 1. Design an experiment to measuring something with an IOLab sensor anything you want 2. Then collect and analyze your data 3. Follow the prompts in the lab manual under the section called Performing a Measurement to help you create and carry out your experiment. 4. Complete the Lab 2 worksheet 5. Prepare a poster to present your experiment and data collected 6. Poster presentation (starts about 40 minutes before end of class)

  5. Lab 2: Measuring with and IOLab Preparing your poster: 1. Use the Lab worksheet that you completed to help you build your poster 2. Refer to the grading rubric in the lab manual to ensure that you have included everything necessary Poster presentations: 1. 40 minutes before class ends: Half the lab team presents while the other half checks out other team s poster presentations 2. 20 minutes before class ends: The other half of the lab team presents while the other half observes presentations.
