Ed Special Education K-12 Managing Crisis Safely (MCS) Instructor About Your School Counselor 21 years in Scottsboro City Schools Special Education teacher with experience at each grade level K-12 for 13 years School Counselor 9 years Family: Married for 19 years to Brad Dudley (former teacher, coach, principal at SHS) Currently Director of Institutional Planning and Assessment/ SACSCOC Liaison Northeast Alabama Community College Daughters Daylee who is a senior and Darbi who is a sophomore at SHS.

  3. What does your school counselor do? Provides lessons on character, friendship, communication, study/work /soft skills, bullying, making good decisions, drug awareness, career exploration, hygiene, etc Provides Responsive services for students who are experiencing crisis in areas such as divorce, bereavement, anxiety, abuse, loss of home, loss of family, sadness, anger, family or relational problems, etc Building Test Coordinator Building 504 Coordinator Problem Solving Team (PST) Chairperson School Liason to community support systems such as: DHR, Nourish One Child, Mental Health Agencies, Bereavement Counseling, Impact Learning Center, Drug/Tobacco awareness teams, Christmas Charity, etc...

  4. Statement of Confidentiality To respect the rights and relationships of students, information shared with the counselor will remain confidential with exception of student safety. Please do not ask the counselor specifics of what the student has shared. The counselor has an ethical obligation to the student unless the student expressess harm to themselves or others. Counselor follows ASCA Ethical Standards for School Counselors
