JCC Bridgewater Tide Back to Pool Night 2024-2025 Season
2023-2024 Highlights 160 Swimmers Ten Sunkissed Qualifiers Our first Sunkissed Champion in ten years One individual record breaker and three relay records broken Raised over $7500 from Swim-A-Thon 2024 One coach named to NJ All-Star Team Staff (Coach Ana)
Welcome to Swimming! Swimming is a delayed-gratification sport in an instant- gratification world. ~Gregg Troy, former Head Coach for University of Florida Swimming is not about swimming, it s about the lessons learned from it The role of a swim parent to support your kids and the team!
Who is BWTD? We are the TIDE, and we are Rising. RISE Respect, Integrity, Strength, Endurance (Coach Sarah came up with this) We are a place where ANYONE and EVERYONE has the same opportunity to realize their potential. We believe that proper technique is VITAL to long-term success in the sport. We believe in being better today than we were yesterday.

Brief Description of Practice Groups Pre-Competitive: 8&Unders, novice, just learning the basics No Meets Tidal Waves: 10&Unders, novice, building on previous experience, learning to enjoy the sport Bronze: 8-12, improving all strokes, starts, turns, still technique focused Silver: 8-14, combination of technique and building aerobic base Gold 1&2: 10-14, focus shifts towards building aerobic base for long-term performance success Junior: 13&O, focus is on technique and preparing swimmers for Senior/National Senior 1: 14&O, focus is on aerobic work while mixing in technique and race strategy Senior 2 & National: 14&O, highest performance group, not as much focus on technique, preparing swimmers to compete at high levels. National has higher commitment than Senior 2.

Attendance Policy National Group: 80% Attendance to keep spot in group Senior 2: 65% Attendance to keep spot in group Senior 1, Gold 1&2: 55% Attendance to keep spot in group All groups: 40% Attendance to keep spot on team for following season Try and communicate all absences
Important Dates Always check the schedule changes page on our website for monthly schedule changes September 3rd: Start of Competitive Season September 13th: Ultimate Swim Shop 5-7pm September 16th: Start of Pre-Competitive Season February 2nd: Swim-A-Thon 2025 February 20th: End of Pre-Competitive Season March 26th: Last day of practice for Competitive Groups April 2nd: End of Season Banquet More events such as time trials, socials, and clinics will be added throughout the season!

Reminders Weather Cancellations/Changes Will be communicated through email, emergency text, and team website We will try and communicate weather related changes at least one hour before practices start If you don t receive an email, assume practice is still happening Swim Meet Etiquette SHOW UP FIFTEEN MINUTES EARLY Bring the right snacks and drinks (a liter cola is not appropriate) Mitigate the use of electronics - bring books/decks of cards instead!
