A suite of documents published in May 2021 aimed at preventing suicide in the ambulance sector highlighted the commonality of mental health issues and the stigma around disclosure. The continuum recognizes that mental health exists on a spectrum and fluctuates due to various factors. Considerations during production emphasized the time frame for recognizing mental health fluctuations in ambulance staff and included references to suicide and addictive behaviors prevalent in this sector. Share the continuum widely for feedback and usefulness assessment.
