About Michael Morpurgo Michael Morpurgo is an author and he writes loads of books.Did you know Michael Morpurgo has written over 100 books that is incredible. He is 77 years old and was born on the 5th October 1943. He write his first book in the 1974 and he has 3 children Sebastian,Rosalind and Horatio.
Did you know Michael Morpurgos favourite animal is an elephant and he was given an OBE in 2006. He can only write in a silent room and the first book he wrote was it never rains.
Did you know Michael Morpurgo hates the process of editing and rewriting and a lot of his books are animal books in 2020 he released the book the puffin keeper. Private peaceful was his 100th book he wrote. His books are for 7-11 years old but you can read them at any age.
Michael Morpurgo has won many awards for writing books for children. He has won 5 awards as a children s book writer and he might win more. After graduating from university he became a primary school teacher in Kent.
Over all I think Michael Morpurgo is a brilliant author I love his books and you should read the books.
