  2. Midway Races Objectives Designed to build the competitiveness of small-medium metropolitan and provincial stables. Further develop the field sizes and quality of metropolitan racing

  3. Midway Races $100,000 race, added to most Saturday programmes Programmed as Benchmark 72 races for July and August Programming subject to an ongoing review, considered against the objectives of the race

  4. Midway Eligibility (Trainer) NSW Metropolitan and Provincial stables; and Amassing less than 100 points against the Midway scale at the end qualifying period The leading stables will be ineligible through the points amassed

  5. Midway Scale Midway Racing and Eligibility Periods The first Midway racing period covers 1 July 2021 to 30 June 2022 The Midway eligibility period is 1 June 2020 to 31 May 2021 inclusive From July 2022, the Midway qualifying period will be the 12 months prior

  6. Midway Scale Cumulative points for wins - Basic scale; plus Group, listed and feature scale; Offset by a discount for the number of NSW metropolitan starters

  7. Midway Scale Basic Scale (wins by trainer) 3 Points Metropolitan Saturday/Any interstate wins 2 Points Metropolitan Midweek/NSW Provincial Wins 1 Point NSW Country Wins

  8. Midway Scale Group, Listed & Feature Race Scale Extra points in addition to the basic scale: 10 Points 8 Points 6 Points Group 1 Wins plus selected races Group 2 Wins plus selected races Group 3/Listed Race Wins, plus selected races

  9. Midway Scale Group, Listed & Feature Race Scale - selected Feature Races 10 Points The Everest, Golden Eagle, other races carrying prizemoney of >$1m 8 Points Bondi Stks, Golden Gift, The Hunter, The Gong, Winners Stks, other races carrying prizemoney of $1m 6 Points Silver Eagle, ATC St Leger, Rosehill Gold Cup, The Coast, other races prizemoney >$200,000 & <$1m

  10. Midway Scale Discount for NSW Metropolitan Starters against Basic, G/L & Feature Scale Offset points accumulated for wins, by 0.25 points for each NSW metropolitan starter

  11. Midway Eligibility (Horse) Raced Horses - any of: Been under the care of an eligible trainer for 12 months; or Been under the care of an eligible trainer since 24 February 2021; or Had at least three (3) NSW metropolitan/ provincial starts with its trainer since coming under their care

  12. Midway Eligibility (Horse) Horses Changing Ownership Been under the care of an eligible trainer at least four months; and Had at least one (1) NSW metropolitan/ provincial start with its trainer since being sold

  13. Midway Eligibility (Horse) Previously Unraced Horses, either: Been under the care of an eligible trainer for six months; or Had at least two (2) NSW metropolitan/ provincial start under the trainer
