  3. Facts to be considered in the constructions of guidelines: Facts to be considered in the constructions of guidelines: Health authority instructions This pandemic is keep changing. The R0 for COVID-19 (2 3.5). Availability. Costs. Risks to Healthcare workers (3.8% / China). Surgeon role. Experience. Asymptomatic patients (30 50 %) False negative patients. (30%) ( medical & political consequences) Type of surgery (elective vs. emergency)

Guidelines Guidelines 1) National health situation.( Health authority instructions) 2) Consider the possibility of COVID-19 infection in every patient. 3) Types discretionary) of surgery (emergency/ urgent/urgent-elective/elective essential, 4) Clinical assessment: (clinical and epidemiological points) History of exposure & travel, temp., resp. symptoms and sign, PO2(happy hypoxia) 5) Perform PCR test and Ab. test 24 hours before the surgery for all patients. 6) Imaging (false ve tests vs. high clinical suspicion) 7) Isolate patients.

  5. Interpretation of the results of screening tests: Interpretation of the results of screening tests: There are 3 possibilities 1) + ve. PCR: patients isolated / surgery is postponed. 2) - ve. PCR + ve. Ab. not require further testing during their hospital stay tested with PCR every week during their hospital stay, and always undergo an exit test PCR on discharge 3) - ve. PCR -ve. Ab.
