MOTIVATION European Green Deal, a plan to make Europe the first climate-neutral continent by 2050. The Green Deal is a new growth strategy to make the EU's economy sustainable and create sustainable industry and transport. Smart and Sustainable Mobility is goal of the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans. The European Green Deal's Sustainable & Smart Mobility Strategy includes a mobility system that is sustainable, smart and resilient: a system for future generations. It is stated here that "Education is key to positively affect behaviours regarding the environment, starting from an early age as well as to reskill workers from transition industries. Curricula need to include key competences and skills necessary to perform in the green economy. To be successfully implemented, the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans needs to be reflected in the reforms of the education systems in order to guarantee that people are equipped and prepared for the labour market and society of tomorrow". DGTRANS project goals are complementary to the goals and Mechanisms of Implementation foreseen in the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans.
