Mass Migrated site launches The initial batch of sites scheduled to go live on the new in.nau.edu platform today is: Contracting and Purchasing Services Ethnic Studies GEAR Up Human Resources Psychological Sciences Women's and Gender Studies Teaching Learning Design and Assessment e-Learning Center
Theme enhancements Two Enterprise theme and one Marketing theme release in September: No major new functionality was introduced, although development continued on short code enhancements New plugin developed and released in support of the Visual Identity Guide site Bug fixes, updates, accessibility & functional improvements Theme feedback can be given at: https://nau.edu/web/theme-design-feedback-form/ More updates, features, and enhancements are coming!
Training update Training site has been updated at https://nau.edu/web/training/ Online self-guided trainings available at https://nau.edu/its/learn/wordpress-editor Training content being developed for broader use of Enterprise+ plugins Open labs are available and scheduled up to winter break The order of training events and purpose of the labs is still very important Lynda.com training is being reevaluated due to changes in the curriculum
Mass migration status The remaining 187 Ektron sites have been migrated by WordHerd and have had initial QA and menu work complete at https://vendor.hub.wp.nau.edu/ Some additional cleanup will be performed as sites are staged for production New platform work is proceeding with a Production environment established Initial site launches are scheduled for today with an additional 20 being queued up Larger batches will be queued up in mid-October with all site launches scheduled to be complete by Thanksgiving break Site Steward work can continue with DIY sites currently in staging SiteImprove groups and reports are built VPTLDA and UM teams will have a kickoff next week Rollout to all areas will continue as sites are launched in Oct/Nov
Whats coming Quarter 2 (October 1 December 31) high level deliverables include: Academic workflow rollout with University Marketing Directory enhancements and further integration with Faculty 180 Post enhancements and establishing toolset for syndication Search results, site index, and directory page reskin Initial scoping of internal/external content split Plug-in review and rollout of additional plugin features Ektron decommission planning Web Advisory Council revival
