Mrs Johnson Phonics Group Week 1
Day 1 Listen to the jolly phonics phase 2 songs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Qpn2839Kro Play We are going on a sound hunt Go out into the garden explain that you have got to be very quiet ssshhhh. Take a moment to listen to the sounds outside. what can we hear? Write a list of the sounds you hear. Your grown up can help you.
Day 2 Ask an adult to sound out each of the words for example r-a-m How many sounds can you hear? Use your phoneme fingers to count them.
Day 3 Sing the ABC song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=75p-N9YKqNo Play I spy find items around the house.
Day 4 Play We are going on a sounds hunt . Todays sound is s How many items can you find around your house beginning with the letter s? Can you write a list of the items you have found?
Day 5 I can .. Listen to the jolly phonics phase 2 songs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Qpn2839Kro Can you write a sentence about yourself? Start your sentence I can What can you do? Run, jump, sit? You decide. Draw a picture to go with your sentence.
