  1. Music and Substance Abuse Among Women By Kamil Fraczek

  2. Music and Substance Abuse Among Women I choose this topic due to the fact that I found it interesting how the music industry tends to focus more on male substance abuse. Women also deal with problems concerning substance abuse, but I believe it is overshadowed. This topic relates to music, because music is an escape from some peoples struggle and it expresses their thoughts and emotions. Music is a story that can show what they have been through and what they re dealing with.

  3. Anyone by Demi Lovato Demi Lovato - Anyone (LIVE) Grammy Awards Instagram:@marcoduarts Instagram:@ddlovato

  4. Demis performance at the Grammys with her song Anyone shows the emotion and pain that she has clearly been through with substance abuse. Lovato talks about how this song was written days before her overdose that and how this song was a cry for help. Melody In this example, I believe this song is Homophonic. There is multiple melodies, but the vocal line dominates all other melodies.

  5. The A-Team by Ed Sheeran The A Team- Ed Sheeran lyrics

  6. Ed Sheeran wrote this song after volunteering at a homeless shelter and meeting this woman named Angel. He talked to her and got to know her and found out she was an addict and a prostitute. He used this song to bring a personal story into the light and that song later related to other people, bringing attention to situations that people like Angel are in. Timbre The timbre is the song is guitar, piano, and vocal chord. You hear the guitar strumming in the song and you hear the piano at some parts and of course, Ed Sheeran sings, so his vocals are in the song
