  5. Wednesday 16th February 2022 We are learning to plan a newspaper report independently. Read the two paragraphs below. One is from a newspaper report and one is from a story. Review Which is which? How do you know? Use the success criteria for today and yesterday to help you. At 7:15pm on Tuesday 5th February, a large dragon, approximately the size of Australia, landed on the continent, crushing several people. Suddenly, a great BUMP was felt all around the world. As a man in Australia was cycling, he was thrown off his bike with the force of the bump! What was this strange earthquake? What on earth had happened? When questioned, witnesses from Australia commented that, We ve never see anything like this before, we had no idea what it could be. As it turned out, what had happened was not from earth at all. Like a bat but a million times the size, a dragon had landed on Australia. Although this event is unprecedented, scientists believe this creature to be from outer space.
