Summary of Activity Since Last Report Conference calls on April 6 and May 4: Reviewed FoN issues matrix and determined a path forward for each issue Reviewed industry letters submitted on Toll Free Resources - Allocation, Assignment and Management (FTN-005) White Paper submitted to and provided by Chairman Kane: Custom Toll Free received February 28th 800 Response received March 7 May 17, 2011 2 2
Summary of Activity Since Last Report Reviewed letters on the White Paper addressed to Chairman Kane w/courtesy copied forwarded by David Greenhaus ATL Communications dated 2/12/11 ZipDx.com with no date 1300 Australia dated 2/28/11 Phone Names dated 3/3/11 The letters did not identify any corrections or changes to the White Paper May 17, 2011 3 3
Summary of Activity Since Last Report The letters did identify potential changes to current policy and rules for consideration. FoN recommends publishing the White Paper to the website with any correction/update from NANC members. If no further direction is received from NANC, the FoN will likely close FTN 005. Future of Numbering WG Mission To explore changes to the environment, including new and future technologies, the impact of market place and/or regulatory changes and innovations on telephone numbering. Scope: The Working Group will investigate new telephone numbering assignment approaches and future telephone number assignment requirements. The Working Group will identify common criteria and gather data to identify trends and their impact upon numbering resources. The Working Group, if necessary, will analyze opportunities to determine the feasibility and benefit of each and report its findings to the NANC. The Working Group will also analyze various topics that may be given to it from time to time by the NANC and/or FCC. May 17, 2011 8
