  6. NGDAMP Overview - A Shared Approach NGDAMP Vision A National Spatial Data Infrastructure Portfolio consisting of a core set of National Geospatial Data Assets (NGDAs) that are sufficiently complete, current, and accessible to support the critical business and mission requirements of the Federal Government, its partners and stakeholders. NGDAMP Goal Implement a systematic and efficient A 16 NGDA Portfolio management process that supports and optimizes investments in Federal geospatial assets for effective sharing, collaboration, and use of core geospatial data across Federal agencies and with their partners and stakeholders, in an environment that supports efficient and effective decision-making 6

  7. NGDAMP Overview The NGAMP outlines the approach for instituting the portfolio management process as outlined in OMB Circular A 16 Supplemental Guidance (2010). Most of the plan will serve as the implementation plan for Goal 2 of the 2014-2016 NSDI Strategic Plan. The FGDC Steering Committee will oversee the implementation process and monitor progress. Theme Leads and Dataset Managers will execute the actions with assistance from the Secretariat Outcomes: A robust and accessible set of core geospatial datasets, which will improve mission support for Federal agencies, their partners and stakeholders. Opportunities for collaborative investments through partnerships to leverage resources, avoid duplication and enhance return on investments 7
