Urinary tract infections (uncomplicated) DESCRIPTION Infection of the urinary tract CHANGES Ciprofloxacin, oral DELETED Nitrofurantoin, oral RETAINED ADDED: Fosfomycin, oral and gentamicin, IM (gentamicin - doctor prescribed, but not in pregnancy/renal impairment) REASON Ciprofloxacin, oral safety concerns restricted use in non-serious infections & thus, therapeutic alternatives considered. Nitrofurantoin considered safe in pregnancy Fosfomycin now accessible 3
