2022 SUMMER PROCESSING & OTHER REMINDERS Scholarships & Grants
Summer 2022 Awards Funds available Manual processing Students in all programs must first be reviewed for eligibility by NDUS Send student names/lists to NDUS State Grant and Academic & CTE Scholarship: Kristin ND Scholars and Dual-Credit Tuition Scholarship: Alexandria ND Indian Scholarship (not available summer 2022) ND Career Builders year-round: Brenda
Enrollment Verification & Program Rules NDUS verifies enrollment (credits) as of the financial aid census date. Flexibility added to procedure: Students who meet full time enrollment status after financial aid census, or disbursement date, may be considered for a disbursement in the current semester, quarter or clock-hour term, provided the NDUS is notified of the eligibility change. FAFSA COMPLETION PROJECT
FAFSA Completion Project Purpose / Goal Provide K-12 counselors with student-level FAFSA data Tool for counselors as they work with students Increase FAFSA completions in ND Current FAFSA-Completion Stats 62 public high schools participate Tool matches ISIR to actual ND senior enrollment for greater accuracy 41% of 22 ND high school seniors have completed the FAFSA
2023 LEGISLATIVE SESSION Scholarships & Grants
2022 Session (all tentative) Interim Higher Education Committee study of all state aid programs Academic/CTE/ND Scholarship Technical correction to 15.1-21-02.6 to provide for Academic & CTE payments through 2030 Early projections show a shortfall of $1M to cover 2023-25 awards ND Scholars program Amend 15-62.5-03 to provide for ranking criteria for SAT scores Funding should still accommodate 30-35 new awards per year February Interim HE Committee commented on the criteria used for awarding - monitoring ND Indian Scholarship Statute last updated in 2003 NDUS looking to streamline and clean up language for administration
