  6. Lessons Learned from Round 1 Understanding & fitting into the organization is the hardest part especially in the first few months It takes time to grok digital stewardship concepts Hosts are busy set the schedule ASAP Jumpstart the 20% time and professional development planning

New in Round 2 Immersion month Immersion week focus on organizational issues, project management Digital stewardship concepts, tools, etc. spread out over the residency (with public webinars) More host involvement Focus on NDSR network Host and resident alumni Public schedule Collaboration with other NDSR programs Integrated development plans + progress reports
