Written and composed around 1898 by Leila N. Morris, "Nearer, Still Nearer" is a heartfelt hymn that reflects the desire to draw closer to God. The lyrics speak of drawing near to God's heart, seeking shelter and refuge in His presence, and coming before Him with nothing but a contrite heart. This hymn beautifully captures the essence of seeking a deeper spiritual connection and surrendering to God's grace and mercy.
