NSATA membership is at 437 as of a March 9th report received from NATA compared to 495 ATs licensed in the state of Nebraska (difference of 58 ATs) ~88% are members in Nebraska People can select the state where they live or work and that can change during the year Some attrition, typically <10% loss (student members and people moving in or out of state) Handful of members each year that never complete their payment plans Once this happens, the NATA refunds their money and count them as non-members Are ATs not renewing due to tighter budgets or quitting the profession during this pandemic? Just a reminder that we are currently utilizing the following communication means: Email (eblasts), Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Webpage NSATA s eblast statistics for March 2021 March 2022: The audience of NSATA eblasts has been 462 people with 7 unsubscribes and 56 bounces Engagement of audience: 57% often, 12% sometimes, 29% rarely Average desktop opens were 49.6% versus 50.4% mobile Out of the 28,115 emails that were delivered, 21,180 (75.3%) were opened and 1,090 (3.9%) had links clicked We have seen a significant spike in readership the past 2 years due to the COVID-19 pandemic and ATs being home and around a computer or phone to check emails Are there other mediums you would like us to consider getting information disseminated? The EB and PR Committee released a new NSATA app on 06-04-21, which is being funded by an MAATA grant the first two years. Acknowledge the accomplishments of the 2021-2022 SLC Board Alison Hagerty from University of Nebraska Omaha Ross Arens from Midland University Amy Kofoed from the University of Nebraska Kearney Ryan Glackman from Nebraska Wesleyan University. Despite the challenges of the year, the SLC hosted the traditional Fall Forum and Quiz Bowl successfully and created a new event, AT Olympics, which fostered inter-program communication between students and was loads of fun! The SLC would not be able to do anything without the constant and unwavering support from both the Executive Board and CUATS chair, Samantha Wilkins. We are not able to express the gratitude we have all of you as thank you simply isn t enough! Finally, It is my pleasure to introduce the 2022 and 2023 SLC Board. Where are we atMarch 12, 2022 Final Reading Bill must be read aloud unless 3/5 of the body votes to waive. Governor After final Reading, 5 days to determine what to do. If he signs or declines to act it becomes law Bill becomes Law 3 months after the legislature adjourns Rules and Regulations Will need to be developed. LB 436 Specifically requires promulgation of rules related to Emergency Drugs and Dry Needling. Next StepsMarch 12, 2022 We are in a good position There has been no opposition on the legislative floor The physical Therapists are no longer opposing the bill Monitoring We will continue to monitor the calendar daily. The Speaker indicated on 3/11 that he was going to address Budget Items over the next 2 weeks so we may be on hold for Final Reading. However, he could sneak this in .we will just need to remain vigilant. Thank your Senators If the bill passes, we will ask members to make a deliberate effort to thank their Senators!!
