  1. NetNI Networking Northern Ireland A community built around internetworking David Farrell & Ray Belshaw Website -https://netni.org Twitter -@IRL_NetNI Slack -netni.slack.com E-Mail -info@netni.org

  2. NetNI -Reasoning Why: To build and facilitate a community first initiative as we have some very talented engineers here and a lot of people (with no current or easily accessible path into networking) could be inspired to join, grow and improve what we have found to be an incredibly rewarding career. Who: There is a nascent community of network engineers or engineers who have to deal with networking as a key part of their jobs, in Northern Ireland. Where: Meetings are planned in or around Belfast city centre as we have had kind offers of hosting from a number of companies and recruitment agencies. When: Meetings are planned to occur once a quarter. How: Provision of a venue and support to expand our knowledge and creation of a feeder pipeline to allow lower the barrier to entry for a career that is under-resourced in this region. Borrowing from an existing successful venture: To pro-actively support the sharing of knowledge, ideas and best practices to enhance the effective, stable and secure operation of the UK's Internet infrastructure as a whole. -- UKNOF Status Update, Keith Mitchell, UKNOF29, Belfast 2014.
