Synopsis As Introduced Encourages Illinois' institutions of higher education to embrace the neurodiversity paradigm and adopt a statement of inclusivity of neurodivergent individuals that appreciates and embraces the fact that every student is different and should be encouraged to reach their full potential. Illinois community colleges are developing neurodiversity statements.

  10. Provide intentional support Academically through universally designed courses and accommodations. Socially through affinity groups, clubs and organizations for students who are neurodiverse. How to incorporate Neurodiversity into DEI work. Review policies and procedures through advisory committees, including students who are neurodiverse.

  11. Intentionally incorporate neurodiversity into Marketing to potential employees. Websites and other internal software used. Your hiring practices. Employee professional development and orientation. Employee resource groups/affinity groups. Meetings.
