NEW CEO Walter Schneider is the new NRT CEO since May 25, 2020 Squamish Nation member Chartered Professional Accountant (Chartered Accountant) MBA Simon Fraser Background in Finance and real estate Work Experience includes |5 years as CAO at Squamish Nation | 3 years CEO at FN Institution | 7 years international investment banking. 3

NRTS PANDEMIC RESPONSE Despite challenging financial markets NRT increased it s funding budget and funding opportunities across all funding programs. Focused on establishing strategic partnerships to support First Nation capacity. Made it more accessible for Indigenous entrepreneurs to access capital by reducing the equity matching requirements and also created multiple streams for indigenous entrepreneurs to access capital at different stages of their business. Extended the application deadlines across all First Nation funding opportunities until December 31, 2020. First Nation s submitting pandemic response type applications (i.e. Pandemic emergency response framework, bylaw development etc) have all been approved. 8
NRT STRATEGY LOOKING AHEAD Renewed focus on Nationhood and ensuring NRT is a hub and centre of excellence that First Nation s use to develop their path to self-determination and Nationhood on their own terms. Support First Nations capacity to draw out their Indigenous knowledge systems to support their path to Nationhood. Innovative & multiple stages of funding streams to support First Nation s wherever they are on the continuum of self-determination Renewed focus on using lesson s learned and success stories from funded First Nation s Projects to support other First Nation s. Rebranding new website, social media presence, refreshed first nation engagement strategy. Strategic Partnerships with the public and private sector to enhance funding for First Nations. Leverage success of the BC Indigenous Clean Energy Initiative (BCICEI) to establish a Regional/National funding platform that catalyzes First Nation participation in the clean energy economy. 9
