Designed to engage and enthuse learners from Entry Level 1 to Level 2. Students should make a note of each of the new words and then decide which one has not been added to the Oxford English Dictionary. It can prompt discussions on the words and learners can give their opinion on what they may mean. The definitions of each word are hyperlinks that can be followed for further information (don t do this initially or you ll give the game away!).

gaydar n.A homosexual person's ability to identify another person as homosexual by interpreting subtle signals conveyed by their appearance, interests, etc.
v v.Searching the Internet for instances of one's own name or links to one's own website.
blamestorming n.A method of collectively finding one to blame for a mistake no one is willing to confess to. Often occurs in the form of a meeting of colleagues at work, gathered to decide who is to blame for a screw up
n frankenfood n. Derogatory, for a food that contains genetically modified ingredients.
slanguage n. Slanguage is slangy speech; the slang form of any language.
n n.A young woman regarded as independent and strong or aggressive, especially in her attitude to men or in her sexuality.
wurfing v. wurfing is the act of surfing the internet whilst at work.
lookism n.Prejudice or discrimination on the grounds of appearance.
bumsters n. Trousers that are cut very low on the hips
