Agenda 1.Orientation, introductions, updates, and training announcements (25 min) 2.The value of training and supporting peers and paraprofessionals- presentations and discussions (60 min) 3.Leverage points and opportunities- discussion (25 min) 4.November meeting: CBH Resource Center and systems EBP assessment/recommendations.

  4. Mission Statement: The mission of the NHCBH Workforce Development Network is to create hope and improve outcomes for children, youth, young adults and their families by convening, promoting, developing, implementing, and disseminating interdisciplinary workforce development activities.

  5. How we work together: Start and end on time Provide a clear agenda with times to help focus Provide resources/documents to be discussed at meeting ahead of time Allow for schmooze time during meetings Send email reminders of assignments to be completed Humor and jokes Be open minded and supportive, no idea is wrong Have a parking lot for items that can t be discussed immediately Encourage connections to other work that is going on the big picture link the threads

The Learning Collaborative (LC) approach focuses on spreading, adopting, and adapting best practices across multiple settings and creating changes in organizations that promote the delivery of effective interventions and services.   9. Certified Recovery Support Workers Family Peer Support Paraprofessional Support Workers The value of training and supporting peers and paraprofessionals-

  10. Certified Recovery Support Workers Codified in state law and regulation: NH ALC300 Laws the CRSW information beginning on page 4, specifically 303, 304 and 305 Four domains: (1)Advocacy; (2)Ethical responsibility; (3) Mentoring and education; and (4)Recovery and wellness support.

  11. CRSW Requirements- NH Board of Licensing for Alcohol & Drug & Other Drug Use Professionals Do not have to be a person with lived experience Required education: at least 46 hours covering the 4 domain areas, to include: (1) 16 hours of education in ethics as related to substance use counseling; (2) 6 hours of education in suicide prevention; and (3) 6 hours in HIV and AIDS education. Education provided by designated institutions Must also complete 500 hours of paid or voluntary work experience under the supervision of a licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor Must submit and application, pass an exam
