Collaboration Licensing update (SUBJECT TO CONTRACT) Working towards continuation from 30 April 2023 Constructive discussions continue, but agreement not yet finalised User Council directly involved in discussions meeting on weekly basis to represent local interests Business Case recommending continuation with DHSC, HM Treasury & Cabinet Office Similar model to existing proposed: Central licensing/funding + local step ups to E&F plans Discounts locally in return for national volume commitment backed off via Participation Agreements Pricing increase anticipated, but cannot confirm level until central reseller (LSP) procurement concluded, agreement reached and business case approved Updates will continue to be given regularly to nominated contacts for collaboration licensing 3

  4. NHSmail Re-Procurement March 8th first market engagement session took place follow on 1to1 s planned April internal approvals NHSE/DH/Cabinet office Tender out to suppliers by June Looking to have agreed the potential new supplier by Sept 23 twelve-month transition Sept 24 4

NHSmail MFA switch on June onwards provision of options for stronger authentication methods in the shared Tenant Privileged accounts New accounts Stronger conditional access for those logging in outside the UK Options being looked at MFA authenticator app push notifications Fido tokens Smart Card options CIS2 enabled today looking to the future use options SMS/Voice message options OTP Onetime passcode TAP (Temporary access pass) Trusted endpoints/sites we see this meeting a large proportion of the use cases Exceptions Unique use case Prison support etc Accessibility challenges System that do not support MFA Disproportionate clinical impact Ongoing development of this throughout 23/24 5
