It begins with adopting a framework of INTERSECTIONALITY An analytical framework that looks into the interconnected nature of social categorizations of class, race, ethnicity, (dis)ability, gender, sexuality, etc that produce overlapping and interdependent systems of discrimination and disadvantage. -
Non-Binary Approach to Gender Justice Applications in the Land Sector Redefining our concept of Territory: Land is in itself intersectional, with land rights and natural resource governance founded on an unchecked domination of capitalism- colonialism-ableism-patriarchy-heteronormativity Territory must be seen beyond geographical units, but as a set of power relationships between people and the environment. Place is a social construction with ebbs and flows over time This is best seen in the context of displacement where territories are represented by memories projected against current positionality, negotiated through movement and fractures between different places that people and collectives can occupy.
