WP2 Nordic Social Security Academy (NSSA) Will strengthen training, education, and mobility through the Nordic Social Security Academy. 1. Mobility grants for NORDRESS partners 2. Funding courses and seminars for graduate students, policy makers, rescue workers, media, and others that Nordic academics, emergency management experts and other relevant agents are prepared to offer.
Mobility grants Aimed for NORDRESS partners for networking within NORDRESS. Visit partner institutions/other institutions where collaboration is important for the project. Visit institutions, areas/sites for data gathering necessary for the project. Meetings of WP members to discuss and integrate data/prepare for publication or other important deliverables. For PhDs and Post-docs who need to visit other institutions/agencies for the progress of the project.
Mobility grants (ca. 10 per year) Application deadlines twice a year (February and September) Maximum 25,000 NOK pr. grant of the grant provided when application is approved, when NSSA has received and approved final report from the applicant

Courses and seminars Courses/seminars on societal security on a broad level, not only relating to natural hazards. Aimed for graduate students, policy makers, rescue workers, media, and other relevant groups.
Courses and seminars Application deadlines twice a year (February and September) Maximum 250,000 NOK pr. grant Merit: Co-funding (necessary if not NORDRESS members), good distribution of contributors from the Nordic countries, participation of graduate students Two courses/seminars during 2015 and 2019, and three in 2016- 2018
