EARLY CHILDHOOD CERTIFICATION Birth through 5 years Work with students who may or may not have special needs A 4-year degree Ability to teach in/as: Private and public preschool/kindergarten classrooms Community child care centers or Early Head Start/Head Start programs Early interventionist IECE Certification leads to ability to teach: Early intervention, Preschool or Kindergarten in Kentucky Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 3 in Ohio
ELEMENTARY Variety of grade levels and school settings: Elementary Primary, K-2 Elementary Intermediate, 3-5 A 4-year degree Certification leads to ability to teach: Kindergarten to Grade 5 in Kentucky Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 3 in Ohio Kindergarten to Grade 6 in Indiana
MIDDLE GRADES Certification for grades 5-9 Requires certification in two of the following fields: English Language Arts Mathematics Science Social Studies Special Education
