Budget Amount Minimum Budget Request: $400,000 over 5 years Includes Direct and Indirect Costs Except: Directorate for Biological Sciences (BIO) Directorate for Engineering (ENG) Office of Polar Programs (PLR) Minimum $500,000 over 5 years No maximum budget amount Cost Sharing is prohibited 2

Biosketch (contd) Academic/Professional Appointments (in reverse Chronological order) Products (5 related; 5 other significant) Synergistic Activities (limit 5) The Synergistic Activities section contains a list of up to five distinct examples that demonstrate the broader impact of the individual s professional and scholarly activities that focuses on the integration and transfer of knowledge as well as its creation. Examples with multiple components are not permitted. 7
Current & Pending Required for Senior Personnel All federal and non-federal current projects and pending projects requiring a portion of time are included, even if they receive no salary support from the project(s). The total award amount for the entire award period covered (including indirect costs) is shown. The number of person-months per year to be devoted to the project, regardless of source of support, is shown. Include This Proposal 8
