Introduction Participants from different countries (which they represent) should be divided into groups presuming it is an international course. If it is a national course, participants should be divided into groups. If possible, regulators, operators and representatives from the industry should be in mixed groups to make the maximize exchange of information between them. Also it is a learning opportunity for them to have a different perspectives. All the groups will participate in addressing all the topics and prepare a short presentation at the end of session. 15-26 January - 19-30 March 2018 2 Operational safety including operational feedback
Use of IAEA Safety Standards Different topics of Operational safety: Leadership and Management; Training and Qualifications; Operations; Operational Experience Feedback; Radiation Protection; Commissioning; Decommissioning; 3 Operational safety including operational feedback
4 Use of IAEA Safety Standards Different topics of operational safety as mentioned in the last slide will be distributed among different groups (maximum no. of topic per group should not be more than 3). In case of availability of Internet each group will be asked to visit the IAEA website http://www-pub.iaea.org/books/ and search the IAEA Safety Standard Catalogue/brochure . In case of non-availability of internet, the lecturer/presenter will download the latest version of IAEA Safety Standard Catalogue/brochure from http://www-pub.iaea.org/books/IAEABooks/Catalogue and give it in memory stick to the participants. 5 Use of IAEA Safety Standards Each group compiles a list of IAEA safety requirements (title of publication in which requirements are given ) and subsequent guides (title of publication in which guidance is given ) that are applicable for their assigned operational safety topic. Each group then prepare a brief including objective and scope of their selected list of IAEA safety standards available on their assigned topic . After 25 minutes , each group presents their list of standard along with its brief. The differences are discussed. Operational safety including operational feedback
