April 17, 2025 NY s Interstate Match Process 2 All Active TA/MA/SNAP recipients are transmitted to DMDC by NYS IT staff. Average of 5.5 million records a quarter. Receive back an average of 37,500 hits.
April 17, 2025 NY: Where Filtering Begins 3 All returned matches are first checked against WRTS database to see if they are still active. All NY Medicaid-Only matches are filtered and sent to the Department of Health for adjudication. Matches are distributed to OTDA s 7 Regions, 58 District County DSS offices, NYC.
April 17, 2025 NY Filtering, continued 4 Filter for wrong individuals matched. First character of first name. First four characters of the last name. If both match, individual will continue through process. If neither match, the match will be filtered out.
April 17, 2025 More NY Filtering 5 Any individual and case currently unresolved will not be sent out again. Any match previously resolved as wrong individual will not be sent again. Any individual resolved as eligible will not be sent out again for 1 year.
April 17, 2025 More Filtering 6 SSI Only related recipients. Any individual who matched NAP-Only in Puerto Rico. NY does not filter based on eligibility dates.
April 17, 2025 NYC Special Filtering 7 All individuals where the other state consists of a MA Only match, will be filtered out. Investigation Sorting by type of match hit or O/S Inquiry: PARIS Fair Hearing case PARIS non-FH Inquiry case Active Closed Non-PARIS Inquiry case
April 17, 2025 NYS OUT-OF-STATE INQUIRY UNIT 8 For Statewide Non-PARIS Inquiries. To Verify Current Status/Closing Dates of Medicaid, SNAP, or TANF assistance, # of TANF Months. Fax Request on your Agency Letterhead to 518-474-8090. Include client s full name, DOB, last 4 digits of SSN, client s new address.
