  2. LESSON OUTCOMES MUST BE ABLE TO PRIORITISE APPOINTMENTS MUST BE ABLE TO ENTER APPOINTMENTS CORRECTLY MUST BE ABLE TO CANCEL OR POSTPONE APPOINTMENTS MUST BE ABLE TO UPDATE DIARY ON AN ONGOING BASIS

  3. CANCELLING APPOINTMENTS THE PERSONAL ASSISTANT SHOULD CONTACT EVERYONE CONCERNED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE WITH THE MEETINGS, BY PHONE, EMAIL OR FAX AND NOTIFY THEM FOR CANCELLATION. IF THE REASON FOR CANCELLATION IS KNOWN , EXPLAIN WHY APPOINTMENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED. IF A CLIENT CANCELLED A MEETING, ENSURE THAT THE MANAGER IS WELL INFORMED AND THAT IT IS NOTED IN THE DIARY. IF THE MANAGER CANCELLED THE APPOINTMENT, BUT SOMEONE IS THERE TO STAND-BY FOR THE MANAGER, THE CLIENT MUST BE ASKED IF HE OR SHE WILL CARRY ON THE MEETING WITH THE STAND-IN.

  4. POSTPONING APPOINTMENTS AT TIMES IT MAY BE NECESSARY FOR THE PERSONAL ASSISTANT TO POSTPONE AN APPOINTMENT SUCH AS IF THE MANAGER IS BEHIND SCHEDULE, ILLNESS THE APPOINTMENT CAN BE DELAYED OR POSTPONED. IF ITS AN EMERGENCY AN APPOINTMENT MAY HAVE TO BE RE-SCHEDULED. THE APPOINTMENT CAN BE REARRANGED FOR THE SAME DAY OR THE FOLLOWING DAY.
