  2. 1. Part of the European context Horizon Europe : the European Union's Framework Programme 2021- 2027 ( 95.5 billion) aims to provide immediate access to publications and open research data. Part of the French context A 2nd national plan for open science has been launched from 2021 to 2024 The French Committee for Open Science ( COSO ) works with thematic groups and a network of French and international experts ANR adopts the Right Retention Strategy (RRS) to authors in publicly- funded research projects (cOAlition S) and requires a data management plan (DMP) Since 2021, CNRS is committed to open access and to the adoption of the FAIR principles. CNRS is part of the G6 group : CNR (Italy), CSIC (Spain), Helmholtz Association, Leibniz Association and Max Planck Society (Germany) Research institutions in France have an open science policy: University of Lille, University of Bordeaux, Sciences Po, INRAE, CEA Strasbourg 19/06/202 3 Open science policy of the University of 3 Universit de Strasbourg

Open science policy of the University of Strasbourg Open access : deposit of full-text publications in the institutional open archive UnivOAK ; support for open access initiatives (SCOAP3, Peer Community In, Open Edition, etc.) Open research data : participation to the national project Recherche Data Gouv ; support on elaborating research tools and on writing a data management plan (DMP) Open edition : creation of a support centre for open edition journals (OUVROIR) ; books & journals published on Open edition.org with the University Press of Strasborug (PUS) Trainings in open science skills : organization of Carpentry workshops, interdisciplinary trainings, events (Open Access Month, Love Data Week, Printemps de la donn e) Research assessment : signature of the San Francisco Declaration (DORA) ; participation to the new coalition COARA Open Knowledge : platforms and interactive tools for scientific mediation (e.g. OSCAHR) ; creation of an ecomuseum of science (including an open data project with the Planetarium) Participatory Science : call for participatory science projects supported by the University (MIA) ; communities and meetings through the project Open University of Strasbourg (OPUS) Strasbourg 19/06/202 3 Open science policy of the University of 4 Universit de Strasbourg

Open Science Steering Committee Chaired since 2021 by the Vice-Chair for Research, Doctoral Training and Open Science, it is composed of : R mi Barillon, Vice-Chairperson for Research, Doctoral Training and Open Science Michel de Mathelin, First Chairperson and Chairperson for Appreciation and relations with the socio-economic world Mathieu Schneider, Vice-Chairperson for Culture, Science and Society and Community Initiatives. It meets every 2 months, with guests. The permanent guests are : the DGSa Research, Innovation, Partnerships, Valorisation, DD&RS, DIREV, IT Department (DNUM) and the Library Service.
