  1. Report on designed operational model (incl. financial model) for WEEE and ICT product repair shop and rental hub Eco Baltia Vide

  2. About the project Eco workshop and tool rental as part of the LIFE C7 project. Baltia vide planned to establish an electrical repair In order to achieve the LIFE project objective of setting up a workshop for the repair of end-of-life electrical appliances, we require a separate room (separated from the sorting center) where the inspection and repair of appliances can take place. The new repair center should serve as a training platform for local authorities and other waste management operators, while also ensuring the continued development of the local re-use system. A successful pilot project would help to introduce similar projects in other parts of the country. We have found an opportunity to implement this project idea at the "St rai i site acquired by our company in the Rumbula parish of Stopi i municipality. Project target: 54 tonnes of refurbished equipment per year.

  9. Conclusions The model is based on the experience of a similar repair centre in France - each repairer can repair 2 pieces of equipment per day. The existing business model is representative of the current situation and reality. It is not capable of delivering positive financial flows. But we will continue to improve it by exploring additional support instruments and external sourcing opportunities to improve it.

  10. Planned measures to improve the business model We are identifying opportunities to leverage public support for staff funding by offsetting part of staff salaries after LIFE funding ends Involvement of electrical producers in the project Research on developing cooperation and involving existing repair centres in the system to increase the volume of electrical units repaired.
