Rooftop and off-grid Solar Power Plants The program is mainly implemented for Government buildings, residential schools, hostels, Sevashrams, Health centres, police stations, forest offices, district offices, blocks , Panchayats etc. Total installed capacity till 14-15: 5.114 MW Projects Under implementation during 15-16: Hostels under BJRCY: 25 x 10 KW SCST hostels/Schools : 19 x 10 KW Kendu leaf godowns : 17 x 3 KW District Collectorates : 6 X 10 KW EMRS schools : 2 x 5 KW Primary Health Centres : 6x 6 KW Police stations : 39 x 2.5 KW Petrol pumps: 2 x 2 KW Sevasharm schools ( 55 Nos): 297 KW

  7. RE Power Projects Total installed capacity: Solar : 43.0 MW + 5.0 MW under REC Biomass: 20.0 MW + 30.4 MW under REC Projects in pipe line Solar : NIL Biomass: 10 MW New Application received Solar : Nil Biomass : 12 MW

Implementation of RPO and REC mechanism (Contd) Obligated entities identified in the state : 62 Captive consumers : 50 Open access consumers: 12 Partial compliants: 20 OREDA had filed a petition in OERC against all non compliant obligated entity 20.11.2014 requesting action under Section 142. Hearing of the case has been concluded on 5th May 2015 but Order has been kept reserved.

Distribution of Solar Lanterns The program for distribution of solar lanterns to weavers and handicraft artisans started in 2013-14 Lanterns distributed till end of 2014-15 Weavers : 25,503 Handicraft Artisans: 16,428 Total 41,932 For the current year apart from weavers and handicraft artisans households using kerosene for illumination purpose in KBK region and western Odisha are also being included under the program. Target for 2015-16 : 20,000

  13. National Biogas and Manure Management Program (NBMMP) Total potential of domestic biogas plants : 6 00,000 Plants constructed till 2014-15: 2,38,872 Target for 2015-16: 5,100 Achievement till July 2015: 211

  14. Unnat Chullah Abhiyan Target for 2015-16 Family Type : 15000 Community Type : 6000 It has been programmed to construct 20,000 PARISHAD model community chulah ( with chimney) in schools & Anganwadi centers under MDM with financial support of state Govt. The said chulah has been tested in IMMT, Bhubaneswar and performance parameter is found to be satisfactory. 563 chulah have been installed till July 2015 in schools. MNRE may consider CFA for above category of chulah under UCA . .
