Rename Department of Fisheries and Wildlife CIM Miscellaneous Program Change Key #15 Fisheries and Wildlife Proposal is to rename the Department of Fisheries and Wildlife to Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation Sciences. The goal of this change is to improve alignment with current faculty research emphasis and our interdisciplinary learner outcomes; modernize our title to match similar department titles at peer institutions; provide a clear link to the major emphasis of our program for prospective students. Concerns were raised by two liaisons about excluding other departments from using the term conservation sciences, but their concerns were addressed (see emails attached to proposal).
