  2. It looks like youre trying to give a Greater Officer Report! Would you like some help with that? Oh geez. Sure. It s my first one. Let s do this.

  3. What?! Weve got a new Tyger Signet! Camille des Jardins (she/her) OL, OP, OGR, OSC, OM, OSR EK Scribe since March 2008 The pen might be mightier than the sword, but rapier fighting is awfully fun. So far we seem to be off to a good start! Thanks, ClippySparky. Let s see what we ve got!

  4. All kinds of new people getting involved! Signet Projects Royal Scheduler chosen! Welcome Baroness M gwynn Filia Brun and her deputy Lord Gavin Kent. Who are doing a kickass job. Thank you Mistress Leonete d Angely for your service and welcome back to the art side! New Wordsmith Deputy Lady Lydia Webbe Thank you Master Gun ormr Dengir for your many years of service, enjoy your retirement! Updating the scribes database survey to be emailed/posted/shared post-Birka Updating the EK Scribal Handbook started digging into it in January, hopefully done by end of February

  5. Active scribes 76 (estimated, sometimes collaborators are not reported ) Change since last curia down 2 (couple have taken a break due to Life but we also have some new folks) Scrolls created in 2023 Reigns: Mohammed and Corotica (MC22) 221 Brennan and Caoilfhionn (BC23) 187 Matthias and Feilinn (MF23) 101 (as of Birka) Scrolls assigned so far in M&F Reign 161 (as of 1/17) Backlogs Active - 98 Backlogs assigned 21 (2 as of last curia) Backlogs delivered as of last Curia 6 (2 people elected to take scrolls off backlog to be completed elsewhere) 2023 Year in Review Wow, the scribes have been busy!

  6. 2023 Overview - Commentary Scheduling: Locals writing in folks too late for local events Wanting big events vs local or smaller events (ie. GNEW, Pennsic, Birka, Mudthaw). As soon as award is scheduled, if there is a preferred scribe/scribal team please contact the Signet ASAP. I tend to try and match up scribe and assignment very quickly after they are sent over to me, if it is a month after the assignment has landed, you will not get your preferred scribal team. Communication: Recommendations not written with enough detail for scheduler to figure out a contact Award contact taking a long time to get back to scheduler or no good contact info given Recommendations: The Crown said so or Well, duh are not great recommendations! Scribes use this info to craft words for the scrolls. Don t make our job harder! Don t use flowery or overly long intro/signature sentences. Keep it concise and factual. It s about the recipient, not the recommender.

  7. Chat with me! I promise I don t bite. Not unless really provoked. Helpful reminders for everyone! DO: DON T Assign out a scroll to a scribe yourself. This means do not bug your scribal friends to volunteer . Assume a slight if your scroll is late or a deadline is missed. Message Signet Staff on FB, we likely won t see it. Communicate as soon as possible with the Signet s office regarding scrolls. Give grace and courtesy to your volunteers. Always email Signet Staff via our official emails. Ask how you can help. Make and update your EK Wiki page!

  8. In conclusion We ve got some great new enthusiastic folks in the scribal community! Scrolls continue to be amazing and beautiful! Communication is key! I m usually up for a chat! Let me know what s up with you! Can t believe how the first 6 months have flown by I m always here to help! Ah. Yes. Thank you, ClippySparky. We appreciate you too.
